When we bought our current home, we were so excited! After merging our two families and squeezing into my husband’s home in Lake View, we were simply out of room. We were so delighted when we found a home that perfectly fit our needs. The best part was it was right down the street from our current home. We love our neighborhood so much; we didn’t want to leave it!

As moving day approached, I purged, packed and planned for the big day. I decided what to keep, what to throw away and what we would need to buy for our new home. It was all so thrilling and stressful and wonderful!

Moving day was like all moving days. Hard work! But totally worth it! We eventually found the sheets and made the bed. We turned in for the night, tired but happy.

Somewhere around 2am a noise woke me up. There was someone in our screened porch! I could hear them moving around. So, I did what every strong independent woman does. I woke up my husband and told him there was an intruder on our porch. He did what every strong independent man does. He got something to hit them with and went out in his underwear to confront the intruder.

It turned out the intruder was a pack of racoons, and they were having a party on our porch! The sight of them all sitting in the furniture brought him back to the bedroom laughing in hysterics. I’m glad he thought it was funny because I almost had a heart attack!

Moving days can be stressful but working with the right real estate agent can make things a bit easier. If you’re thinking about selling your home, I would love to be a part of your family’s journey. Whether you are ready for something larger, or it’s time to downsize, let’s talk about what home and family means for you.
